Content Writing

There are a couple of pointers that one should keep in mind when writing for the web. One must use shorter sentences, words and paragraphs. Too many ideas should not be squeezed into one paragraph, should have one idea per paragraph. There should be concise matter, less than writing for the print. Objective language should be used to build credibility; there should be no exaggerated claims or overly promotional terms.

Web content has to be less and shorter, people read slowly on the web than they read print material. According to a study by usability expert Jacob Nielson, 79% of readers on the Web tend to scan or skim text rather than read word for word. Readers on the web are impatient, they are generally in a hurry to get the information they want, and move on. They like it kept simple and straight. The user’s attention has to be kept, there are millions of alternative websites, the user will or else just move on.

Attracting attention and retaining reader interest is a challenge, especially as you have just 10 seconds to grab attention with your web site content and 55 seconds to develop an understanding of your company or product. To combat reader fatigue, make it easy for your Web users to get relevant information. Put the most important information at the top. Use clear and concise text.

Website content writing is different from article writing or blog writing. Website writing talks more about the organization and its services and products. There should be content on the company but which should be put across very subtly.

RSS

RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication, it is a defined standard based on XML with the specific purpose of delivering updates to web-based content. Using this standard, webmasters provide headlines and fresh content in a succinct manner. Meanwhile, consumers use RSS readers and news aggregators to collect and monitor their favorite feeds in one centralized program or location. RSS is becoming increasing popular. The reason is fairly simple. RSS is a free and easy way to promote a site and its content without the need to advertise or create complicated content sharing partnerships.

RSS originated in 1999, and has strived to be a simple, easy to understand format, with relatively modest goals. After it became a popular format, developers wanted to extend it using modules defined in namespaces. RSS benefits the reader definitely more than the publisher. RSS helps link back to older content and get some free publicity and links pointing back to the site which Google loves. The most popular way to promote RSS is to feed it to the directories. Fortunately there are many specialist directories that accept only RSS feeds. When you submit your feed to a directory you are benefiting in a number of ways. Firstly your feed will be visible to visitors who search such directories, your feed may even be featured if there is a section for newly submitted feeds or recently updated feeds.

RSS will increase your rankings for the most important search engines and at the same time, through RSS specific search engines and directories, generate new traffic for your web site. It will also help you increase the power of your existing traffic sources. It will get you listed almost immediately on directories like Yahoo!, and will get you a good position for your most important keywords and phrases and the best part is that it is extremely quick.

SEO

Short for search engine optimization, the process of increasing the amount of visitors to a Web site by ranking high in the search results of a search engine. The higher a Web site ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that that site will be visited by a user. It is common practice for Internet users to not click through pages and pages of search results, so where a site ranks in a search is essential for directing more traffic toward the site.

SEO helps to ensure that a site is accessible to a search engine and improves the chances that the site will be found by the search engine.

One of the elements that a search engine algorithm scans for is the frequency and location of keywords on a Web page. Those with higher frequency are typically considered more relevant. But search engine technology is becoming sophisticated in its attempt to discourage what is known as keyword stuffing, or spamdexing.

Another common element that algorithms analyze is the way that pages link to other pages in the Web. By analyzing how pages link to each other, an engine can both determine what a page is about (if the keywords of the linked pages are similar to the keywords on the original page) and whether that page is considered "important" and deserving of a boost in ranking. Just as the technology is becoming increasingly sophisticated to ignore keyword stuffing, it is also becoming more savvy to Web masters who build artificial links into their sites in order to build an artificial ranking.

Email Marketing

Email marketing can be carried out and promoted in various ways. Advertising, brochures, newsletter, hiring sales people, building a website, using emails, direct mail and PR – all these mediums can be used for effective email marketing. If you compare all these mediums you will see that the most cost effective is email marketing. It’s easy to create and comparatively cheaper. There are other sales methods but email marketing has become the key medium for effective marketing and to keep clients abreast of what is happening.

When face to face marketing is carried out for sales, this is the best opportunity to enroll you potential clients or convince them to receive your regular updates. They can also be directed to the website to sign up for newletters and future issues.

Today it is easy to build a database for potential clients but at the same time one has to be extremely careful as to not to irritate them by constantly sending them emails. Nobody likes their inbox full of advertisements.

In seeking new clients one should not forget the existing ones, they are the reason you are where you are. Hence it is extremely important to nurture this relationship before building a new one. You already have a relationship with them, timely updates about your new products and services will make sure they are always with you.

SEO

Search Engine Optimization is the process of making ones website content more search engine friendly to attract traffic by ranking higher. We have to research for keywords and optimize the site based on the most relevant keywords and drive relevant traffic to the site via major search engines.

If you’re dealing with an online business and coerce no traffic to your search engine, your attempt will go futile.

Today’s Search engines drive 85% of all first time traffic to a site. A search engine has organic and sponsored results. The organic results attract 80-90% of all search engines. Only 10 –20% will be sponsored. You definitely have to come in the top list of the organic results to attract traffic, rather the most targeted traffic. The reason is the visitors of organic results will be keen to buy products. Therefore, you have to attract them as best as possible and this is likely to happen only when you top the list.

Search Engine Optimization, provides useful services to websites. Email Marketing

Promoting your products and services by email can be a powerful and flexible form of email marketing. It is an easy and cheap way of communicating. It is more effective than paper-based marketing and can target specific type of consumers.

But email marketing has to be done with a lot of care and precision and planning as to make it interesting and relevant to recipients. Email marketing is more successful if it is focused and aimed at people who are interested in that product or in what you have to offer. For example, if you’re trying to market an offer for computer hardware, it will help if you promote it to people who are responsible in buying IT.

Unsolicited emails or spam are illegal but they still pose a problem. But we do have computer security software to block them. Irrelevant and spam mails are deleted almost immediately on receiving. Therefore if you have a database where consumers have requested details on products and services then your email marketing strategy will be very useful. It will help them receive detailed and updated information at all times. Even if they don’t respond immediately or buy immediately, the email in their database will work as a reminder.

A large database is useful, but at the same time it is also essential to identify the precise needs of your consumers. Your email marketing campaign will be more effective if you have analyzed their needs and cater to it appropriately. A high-end regular customer will be very grateful for regular updates.

PPC marketing

Good ranking in search engines today is what webmasters want to achieve, this ranking ultimately boosts traffic for their websites. Search engine optimization is a much sought after e-Marketing tool. Though amongst them all PPC or (Pay-per-Click) advertising is the most significant one, which gives you the best results. But it is advisable that before you opt for PPC you should be well aware as to how it works. Thorough knowledge on PPC is essential. PPC will help you achieve your objective. It will improve a visitor’s response to your website content through appropriate page structure and layout.

PPC (Pay-per-click) is the advertising model in which advertisers pay for clicks to their websites. These ads are served based on keywords or themes. PPC advertising works through a bidding process. It provides exclusive results in attracting the targeted customers to their website. If you are launching a new website, then this technique can provide you the best result than any other techniques. As we know PPC advertisers are aggressive marketers.

Another essential factor that has great impact is ‘keyword selection’. While selecting a keyword for your advertisement you should select only those which are relevant to your website content. Your ad is displayed only when the user searches for those keywords that you have bid on.
If your keyword selection is good, then your ad will be displayed each time the user searches for that particular keyword. In this way you can get a lot of clicks on your ad and it will ultimately increase the exposure of your website. In PPC advertising you can control the expenses on your ad. If your ad is displayed for a particular keyword which is very relevant to your products and services, then your ad will get more number of clicks. In this way you will get more potential customers.

Get the word out!!!

Content writing is an integral part of a Website. It entails various forms like article writing, press releases, blogs etc, but essentially it consists of writing for the Web. Web writing is all about current, relevant and interesting content. An interesting website is the key to attract and retain visitors who are browsing through your site. Though ofcourse using words effectively is an art.

Relevant website content is essential, for that one needs to be passionate about what they write. I’m sure you know what a boring and mundane article does? You read the first sentence and then just move on to the next article.

Content writing requires a great amount of clarity and brevity. As you write keep asking yourself would you read this article? Does it sound interesting enough. Complex and arcane terms are not very welcome when you are trying to understand a subject, you have to keep in mind all kinds of users, and that English is not everyone’s prime language. A long and verbose article will certainly lose the reader’s attention. And the reader is our potential client, definitely cannot afford to lose them.

Writing in your words is important, a write-up is all about you and your thoughts. Writing has to be done in a conversational manner. The reader should be involved for your blog to sell.

Content writing is about writing, but more importantly it is about how you write it and how you convey what you want to say. Getting a reader interested is not that simply, as we all are readers at some point. And we all can be critical about somebody else’s work, hence it is imperative that you write from the reader’s point of view.

PRESS RELEASE

By definition a press release is simply content prepared for distribution to the media. Simply said - the content should be useful, accurate and interesting. Press releases generally follow a standard format. ‘You have to be seen to be heard’ is the norm. Therefore for your press release to get filtered with the best you have to have a catchy and powerful headline. Who wants to read the same stuff?
We here at Clearmedia Inc follow certain norms and standards, and an established format. Our aim is to achieve a 100% audience. We target the right audience by creating the right impact. Your press release has to be read and understood by all, we make sure of that.
Press releases talk to the point, are concise and precise. They say what they have to say without any flowery words. They are more like a statement, which are factual. They answer simple basic questions of who, what, where, when and why. The first paragraph generally gives you a gist of what the entire body of text is about.
We want the press release to be factual as well as interesting; if it’s not catchy enough the reader will stop midway. A press release is one of the best ways and means to attract good business. There are various types of press releases such as general news, events, products and entertainment press releases. It is one of the most effective ways of communicating about your business. So a well written press release could win you accolades and in turn good clients.

Selling the Right Way!!

Pay Per Click is a classification of successful e-Marketing. It works on the lines of online word of mouth marketing, brand building and traffic diversion through the world’s largest consumers and advertisers. You can connect with millions today with a click of the mouse. Pay Per Click also works like the other e-Marketing and online strategies. Today blogging has become the most taken route for successful e-Marketing. Using keywords and content with humor has become the need of the hour for business promotion.

We at Clear Media Inc. provide you with a vehicle to promote your Web site, product, service and philosophy. Blogging today helps achieve the desired results far more quickly. Online viewers are constantly clicking away at their computers. Blog sites with RSS feeds and connecting links today are most common. Bloggers also known as ‘posties’ greatly aid online promotion.

A PPC campaign can bring you loads of traffic, but it is valuable only if you can convert that traffic into sales. In Pay Per Click form of advertising you do not have to pay a fixed amount to have your advertisement placed on the web page. With Pay Per Click advertising, the advertiser only pays when someone clicks on their ad and is taken to a specified page on their website. From an advertiser's point of view it is an excellent way to get cheap targeted traffic.

With PPC form of online marketing one has to be extremely careful of unscrupulous competitors and suspected frauds. Though there are things which one can do to combat click frauds. In this case you can get in touch with the Pay Per Click search engine concerned. Though you will have to be armed with all the documented evidence you can collect. Reputable companies will pay heed to your concern and will provide refund if your evidence is good enough and proves you have been a victim.
